DISEC Dias

  • Jasmine

    DISEC CHAIR

    Jasmine is in her last year of her undergrad in Political Science, she has volunteered for HSMUN throughout her degree and was a delegate prior.

  • Prabhleen

    DISEC VICE CHAIR

    Prabhleen is currently in her first year of her Immunology and Infection Honors degree. She is thrilled to serve as the Vice Chair of Disec for the duration of this conference. This is her 1st year as a volunteer with HSMUN, she was a delegate for the last two years. She loves cinema and spends much of her time binging or reading. She looks forward to another great conference! 

  • Sudhanshu

    DISEC FPA

    Sudhanshu Chaudhary is a 3rd year student currently in Biochemistry specialization. He is currently focusing on his classes with the goal to go into medical school and become a general practitioner. He had participated in HSMUN once in his grade 12 year where he was in UN women representing the country of Bulgaria. In Sudhanshu's  free time he likes to read history and play video games (his favourite game is Xenoblade 3). He is also currently the President of the Video-Game Club at the UofA. He is really excited meeting all the delegates this year to hopefully get a resolution passed.

    DISEC FPA

    Talha is currently in his first-year in his Neuroscience Honours degree, and is looking forward to being one of the FPA for DISEC in HSMUN 2026. He has participated in HSMUN as a delegate, and now this is his first time volunteering. Outside of HSMUN, Talha loves watching movies, playing games, and generally just hanging out. Talha’s also looking forward to seeing everyone’s dance moves during the banquet.

    WHO CHAIR

    Tara is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program, and is excited to return to HSMUN as a volunteer! This is her seventh year being involved with HSMUN and her third year volunteering. In her free time, she enjoys annoying her dog (lovingly) and hate-watching Vanderpump Rules. As chair, she can’t wait to see the delegates engage in exciting debate  this upcoming conference!

  • Irene

    WHO VICE CHAIR

    Irene is a 2nd year student currently studying pharmacology. She is excited to be a part of HSMUN for her 4th year, 2 as a delegate and 2 as a volunteer! In her spare time she loves to grow plants and bake (not guaranteeing that it’ll taste good though), she also loves to rate cafes instead of studying. She is super excited to be serving as vice chair for HSMUN 2026!

  • Justin

    WHO FPA

    Justin is in his first year of a bachelor of science in astrophysics and is thrilled to be part of the volunteer team for HSMUN. It will be his 4th year participating in HSMUN, 3 years as a delegate and this is his first year volunteering! In his free time Justin enjoys a good cup of tea and a book, as well as going on as many backpacking trips to the mountains as he can feasibly do per year. He looks forward to a wonderful conference filled with exciting debate and ingenious ideas.

    WHO FPA

    Kris is a first year volunteer who has years of experience as an HSMUN delegate. While passionate about their Psychology major, Kris’ biggest interest is in reading an array of both fiction and non-fiction books and they are always ready to talk about their book collection, which they have spent years accumulating. Kris is looking forward to helping WHO delegates with anything and everything they need.

  • Malcolm

    SOCHUM CHAIR

    Malcolm is in his first year as a general science major at the UofA and is a Page at the Alberta Legislature. He is currently in his fourth year involved with HSMUN, where he made many of his favourite high school memories. In his spare time, Malcolm is goofing around with his friends, exploring Edmonton as an “LRT warrior,”  experimenting with instruments, and listening to niche symphonic metal music compositions. (Ask him about it.) Malcolm is a strong believer in social justice and believes volunteering with HSMUN’s SOCHUM committee is the best start to making systemic changes.

  • Paschaline

    SOCHUM VICE CHAIR

    Paschaline is ecstatic to be your Vice-chair for this year's conference. Paschaline is in her second-year majoring in psychology and political science with a minor in International Relations. This is her fifth year doing HSMUN and her second volunteering. Paschaline spends her free time reading, watching true crime documentaries, or trying different restaurants! She is very excited to see what ideas the delegates come up with at this year's conference.

  • Ebin

    SOCHUM FPA

    Ebin is a first year Engineering student, hoping to get into the Mechatronics and Robotics program. This is his 3rd year with HSMUN and 1st year as a volunteer, participating in Interpol and Legal as a delegate, and he's thrilled to be helping out the SOCHUM delegates this year as an FPA. In his free time, he enjoys building LEGO, playing in the Lister Dodgeball League, reading manga, and mentoring FTC Robotics, which he competed in during high school. He's excited to learn more about delegates' policies and read their resolution papers this year in HSMUN 2026!

  • Jakob

    SOCHUM FPA

    Jakob is thrilled to serve as an FPA for SOCHUM this year. Jakob is in his first year in the faculty of Engineering, hoping to get into either Mechanical or Mechatronics. It is his 4th year being involved in HSMUN, first as a volunteer, having previously been a delegate for WHO, FSC, and HSC (representing Luxembourg, Canada, and Ethiopia respectively). Jakob spends his free time leading a sea cadet corps, sailing, and helping his brothers with homework. He’s excited to help all of you become the best delegates you can be at HSMUN 2026.

  • Eva

    UNEP CHAIR

    Eva is in her last year of her undergrad, majoring in political science and minoring in sociology. Her academic interests include international relations, political ecology and Canadian environmental policy. This will be her third year volunteering in UNEP, and she is very excited to be serving as chair. In her spare time, she’s usually working, studying or hanging out with her friends and family. Eva is looking forward to meeting all the delegates at this year's conference!

  • GurSant

    UNEP VICE CHAIR

    GurSant is a 1st year engineering student in his 4th year involved with HSMUN, and his 1st year as a volunteer. In the past, he has been a delegate for WHO (Trinidad and Tobago), DISEC (China), and FSC (Songun Generals/North Korea). He has a variety of hobbies including drawing, photography, exploring the city (urbex), foraging, music, games, and a number of other things. He looks forward to seeing all the engaged delegates in their element debating and collaborating at this year’s conference!

    Gabby (she/her) is a second year education student with HSMUN experience all throughout high school. She is thrilled to be a part of this organization for the second time and excited to see the delegates this year! In the past, she has participated in WHO, UN women, and UNHCR. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing Sims, and listening to Taylor Swift. She looks forward to seeing what UNEP puts to the floor for this year's conference!

    UNEP FPA

    Adeline (she/her) is a 4th year Honours Political Science major at the University of Alberta and a research assistant for the University of Alberta’s China Institute. This is her third year volunteering with HSMUN as a foreign policy advisor. A fun fact about her is that she was a former competitive tap dancer and competed twice at the Dance World Cup. During her free time, she enjoys playing with her pet bunny named ‘Rabbit’, binging Gilmore Girls, and baking. She is looking forward to meeting all the delegates this year!

Arab League Dias

  • Bayan

    ARAB LEAGUE CHAIR

    Bayan is a 2nd year Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering student. This is her fifth year with HSMUN; she spent three years as a delegate, and is now entering her second year as a volunteer. When she is not busy doing one of her one million assignments that are due every week, she enjoys crocheting and reading, and she even boasts a small library of over 300 books. She will gladly perform the entirety of Hamilton for you or recite the entire One Direction discography (all you have to do is ask).  She is super excited to be chairing Arab League this year, and looks forward to breaking it down on the dance floor when they play FEIN.

    ARAB LEAGUE VICE CHAIR

    Mica is a 1st year student studying Political Sciences with a minor in Biological Sciences. She has participated in MUN for 3 years as both a delegate and part of the Dais, and this is her first year as a volunteer. She loves hiking, travelling, reading and any form of art– from pottery to painting. She is very excited to serve as Vice- Chair for the Arab League and can’t wait to meet her committee.

    ARAB LEAGUE FPA

    Mila is in her first year of Food Science and Nutrition. She has 2 years of HSMUN experience as a delegate and is entering her first year as a Foreign Policy Advisor for Arab League! In her spare time (which is hard to find), Mila enjoys baking, crocheting or knitting, swimming, and going on adventures with friends. Mostly, she is looking forward to interesting debates and tearing up the dance floor when Fireball comes on.

    Tristan is in his third year of political science. This is his third year volunteering with HSMUN. When he has free time he enjoys playing sports such as hockey or football. His hobbies include collecting historical memorabilia or watching sports on the weekends.

  • Rebha

    INTERPOL CHAIR

    Rebha (she/her) is a first year student at the University of Alberta, pursuing an Honours Degree in Biological Sciences. She has been an active participant in HSMUN for the past 3 years as a delegate, and very excited to serve as the Chair of Interpol. As an experienced debater and speaker for six years, Rebha is looking forward to all the discussion, and can't wait to meet all the delegates! In her free time, she enjoys nature walks, gardening, and reading novels across various genres.

    INTERPOL VICE CHAIR

    Rhys is a second year Arts Psychology major with a Political Science minor at the University of Alberta. He has participated in HSMUN as a delegate once in high school (in Interpol!) and this will be his second year volunteering. He will be the Vice-Chair for the Interpol committee and is very excited to have a weekend of intense debate! Outside of school, Rhys enjoys raving, anything hockey, and enjoys working (most of the time).

    INTERPOL FPA

    Shiven is a first year Honours Immunology student and is super excited to be one of the Foreign Policy Chairs for INTERPOL  this year! After three wonderful years as a delegate at HSMUN, he can’t wait to bring that same energy and passion as an FPA. Shiven is an avid enjoyer of going on walks (anywhere and everywhere), chocolate milk, and donuts. He looks forward to meeting all the delegates in February!

    INTERPOL FPA

    Kosta is a second year Political Science major and International Studies minor at the University of Alberta. This year will be his 5th year with HSMUN (3 years as a delegate and 1 year as a volunteer). He is stoked to be an FPA for Interpol and to see some serious debate! Outside of HSMUN, Kosta recently started playing volleyball and always watches Formula 1. He can’t wait to meet you all!

  • Vaidya

    HRC CHAIR

    Vaidya is a second year Psychology student at the UofA, this is her fifth year of HSMUN, and second year as a volunteer, she is super excited to be the Chair of UNHRC! In her free time she can be found hiking, reading, taking film photos and begging her friends to explore Edmonton's cafes! She is also an avid rock climber, "Severance" fan, and chatter box (so come talk to her about anything and everything!). She is really excited to be chairing UNHRC this year!

    Alyssa is a second-year Honors Physiology major, and this is her second year volunteering with HSMUN! If she’s not studying or asleep, you can probably find her riding a horse, baking something sweet, or watching one of her favourite movies! Alyssa is so excited to welcome all the UNHRC delegates this year!

    Julianna is a 2nd year business student with a major in finance. This is her fourth year with HSMUN, second year as a volunteer. Aside from studies and HSMUN, you can find her rewatching her favourite movies or reading! She looks forward to being an FPA of UNHRC and meeting all the delegates!  

  • Udhay

    HRC FPA

    Udhay is a first year Science student with a major in Immunology and minor in Psychology. This will be his first year volunteering with HSMUN but he has previously been involved with Model U.N. conferences in high school. He likes playing basketball and soccer with friends. His favourite team is the Houston Rockets. Udhay is very excited for this year’s conference and having a chance to work with all the delegates. 

UN Women Dias

  • Sofia

    UN WOMEN CHAIR

    Sofia is exuberant to serve as your chair for UN Women! She is in her first year of a BSc Honours in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta. Sofia has been involved in HSMUN since grade 10, participating as a delegate in WHO, UN Women, and OAS in grade 12. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and watching reality TV.

    UN WOMEN VICE CHAIR

    Kyra is a 1st year Psychology major at The Kings University. This is her fourth year with HSMUN, three years as a delegate and this is her first as a volunteer. In her free time she likes to go thrift shopping, work out, and spend time with friends. For HSMUN 2026 she is looking forward to fruitful debate and making memories!

    UN WOMEN FPA

    Ayana is a second year Business Economics and Law student. This is her second year volunteering with HSMUN and her third year with HSMUN overall. Ayana loves to read in her free time, especially all the classics. She also loves to talk endlessly about her favourite shows and movies.. She is excited to be serving as the UN Women FPA this year and can't wait to see all the delegates at debate and hear their amazing ideas!

    Jessica is a first-year business major with three years of experience at HSMUN as a delegate! She is passionate about UN Women and all themes regarding gender and feminism. She is excited to hear all the ideas and conversations delegates have this year! In her free time she loves to read, bedrot, and spend time with her cat, Pepperchino.

Historic Security Council Dias

  • Abhay

    HSC CHAIR

    Abhay is a 1st year law student and is excited to return as a Chair this year. This is his fifth year volunteering with the club, and third year with the Historical Security Council. Abhay takes great interest in history and enjoys a good philosophical conversation. When he’s not studying or working, Abhay enjoys playing and following soccer, watching classic movies, and catching up on current events.

  • Ghawali

    HSC VICE CHAIR

    Ghawali is enthusiastic to be the Vice-Chair for the Historical Security Council. Starting her first year of university in Bachelor of Science to become a veterinarian, she’s managing her unpredicted life by painting, playing soccer, and chasing after her pet bird Bluey. Although it’s her first year volunteering, Ghawali experienced HSMUN during her senior year of high school which motivated her to be part of an excellent team. She is excited to bring supportive and welcoming vibes to the conference that could potentially spark new connections and create memorable experiences!

    Parker is excited to work as an FPA in the Historical Security Council for this year’s HSMUN. Parker is a first-year Criminology student at the UofA, he was a high school delegate and is interested politics and mythology. Parker is looking forward to creating thrilling crises.

  • Luke

    HSC FPA

    Luke is excited to spend his second year volunteering with HSMUN as a Foreign Policy Advisor with HSC! As a second year Engineering Physics student, Luke loves his classes and enjoys tinkering with engg projects, but he has always had a soft spot for history and current events. When he is not studying, you can find Luke climbing, designing circuits for an autonomous submarine, or baking - he also tries to get out to the mountains when he can. He is so excited to meet this year’s delegates!

Security Council Dias

  • Jack

    SC CHAIR

    Jack is Chair for SC, and this is both his third year volunteering with HSMUN and as a Bachelor's of Science student in the Honors Immunology & Infection program. He was an HSMUN delegate for his grade 11 and 12 years of high school, participating in the security council both years as a representative of Vietnam and the Russian Federation, respectively. Jack loves being immersed in anyone's microcosm of expertise, in person or through podcasts, and is currently going through a quarter life crisis where he believes he needs to run a half-marathon. He's excited to see the characteristic energy and ingenuity of HSMUN delegates for yet another year!

  • Japji

    SC VICE CHAIR

    Japji is a first-year undergraduate student majoring in Economics. Although this is her first time volunteering with HSMUN as the Vice Chair of the Security Council, she has attended the conference as a delegate three times before. She has been participating in Model UN conferences since Grade 7, with over 20 conferences attended across India and Canada. In high school, she founded and led her school’s MUN club. Other than MUN, she loves her sleep (at any time of any day) and reminiscing about her time in New Delhi, India this summer (that place is home). She is really excited to meet new people and potentially new friends at HSMUN this year!

    Tristan is SC FPA as well as a 3rd year Finance student and HSMUN volunteer.  He’s volunteered for HSC and Legal prior to this year.  

  • Zoriana

    SC FPA

    Zoriana is in their 1st year, pursuing an honours degree in Physiology in the Faculty of Science. They are very keen on being an FPA for the Security Council. Though this is their first year volunteering for HSMUN, they are an HSMUN enthusiast who participated in the UofA conference, helped organize one at their school, and mentored students in debate club. When they’re not studying for exams or watching video essays about virtually anything, Zoriana can be found at their Jiu Jitsu dojo (It’s almost like they live there). Zoriana’s passions extend past the sciences to the arts; they are a theatre kid at heart who loves learning languages. They speak Ukrainian, English, and Spanish and are currently learning Brazilian Portuguese. They look forward to working as a team to make this conference memorable and exhilarating for all delegates and everyone involved!

    FSC CHAIR

    Waleed is a fourth year majoring in Psychology. He started his MUN journey in 2017 in Pakistan and has since done many national and international conferences both as a delegate and as part of the dais as well as part of the management. He loves football (Which he refuses to call soccer) as well as cricket (No it is not similar to baseball). He also hates the Edmonton winters with a passion.This is his second time volunteering with HSMUN as a chair and he looks forward to ensuring the future security council is a fun learning experience for everyone involved! 

  • Claire

    FSC VICE CHAIR

    Claire is so excited to be the futuristic security council’s vice chair!  This is Claire’s 4th year with HSMUN, 2 as a delegate and 2nd as a volunteer.  She’s majoring in Political Science and minoring in History.  She loves movies (catch her annually at EIFF) and running with her dog before it gets too cold.  Claire spends her summers in Waskesiu, Saskatchewan working at her family business and jumping off her boat.  Claire is terrified of driving but hates the bus so watch out roads. She looks forward to some heated but respectful debate this year!

  • Chidinma

    FSC FPA

    Chidinma is a first year psychology major and is excited to experience her first year as an HSMUN volunteer, serving as an FPA for Futuristic Security Council. She was introduced to Model UN at last year’s conference and attended SUNIA over the summer. In her free time, Chidinma enjoys cooking/baking new recipes and logging films on Letterboxd. She is looking forward to the entertaining debate at HSMUN 2026!

    Sasha is a third year Dental Hygiene major. This is his fifth year of volunteering with HSMUN, and he has participated in HSMUN three times during high school. In his free time, Sasha has a passion for cars, learning languages, and travelling.

    EDITOR

    Tanvee is in her second year majoring in Art and Design with a Psychology minor. This is her third year with HSMUN. She is thrilled to be a part of HSMUN 2026. She loves exploring new ways to combine art and communication. You will find her in her Art studio for the better part of the week. She is looking forward to meeting all the delegates this year!

    EDITOR

    Anureet is a second year Business, Economics and Law student and this is her second time being a part of the HSMUN team. During her free time she likes to read anything she can find, write on substack or just hibernate. She is thrilled to be on the Press team and excited to meet the press delegates. 

  • Korane

    Korane is in her first year, taking a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition. She has been a delegate in all three years of high school, being part of the UN Women, WHO, and OAS committees. As a member of Press, Korane is excited to see more entertaining debates and news reports in this year’s HSMUN event! In her free time you can find Korane attempting to make jewellery, sewing or reading a new fantasy novel!

  • Madeline

    Madeline Pryke is very excited and honoured to be apart of HSMUN 2026 as apart of the press editing team. She has participated in HSMUN once before in her grade 12 year as a press delegate, and this is her first year as a volunteer! Other than Model UN, Madeline enjoys watching (and reviewing) movies, as well as writing scripts and stories. Madeline is looking forward to HSMUN and can’t wait until the conference!

  • Soni

    Soni is a 3rd year student with tremendous aura. He is at the Campus Saint Jean for his Bachelor of Sciences, majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. This is his first year volunteering in HSMUN. He loves eating food, travelling and trying new things. When he isn’t eating, you can find him somewhere in Edmonton, hanging out with his friends, definitely not doing some tomfoolery. 

  • Daniel

    Daniel is a second-year student in the ELA Education program. Having served as an HSMUN delegate for two years, Daniel is thrilled to be part of the media team. Aside from creating amazing TikTok anime edits and posting cat photos on Instagram in his free time, Daniel enjoys playing video games (such as Rainbow Six and Destiny 2) and maintaining an active lifestyle.

  • Mitch

    Mitch is in his second year of Political Science and fourth year being apart of HSMUN (2 years a delegate, 2 years a volunteer). Mitch has years of experience working with professional photographers and video editing.  Mitch is very passionate about human rights, political theory and international relations, and is excited to capture the delegates’ speeches and teamwork. One fun fact about him is he has been to 19 different countries (20 if you include Canada).

    Megh is in his first year of the PharmD program at the University of Alberta. Before joining the PharmD program he was in pharmacology. This is his third year volunteering with HSMUN as a videographer. In his free time he likes to go bouldering or playing soccer.

  • Tejaswi

    DIPLOMATIC AIDE

    Tejaswi is the Diplomatic Aid  for this year. She is currently a second year student within the Faculty of Science as a Honors Physiology student. She participated in HSMUN all 3 years of high school with her last year being a delegate in the Future Security council. In her spare time, you can find her cooking crazy recipes, teaching ninja to kids and out on long walks with friends and family. She is so excited to see everyone's enthusiastic spirit in council and can't wait to meet you all.

    Victor is a second year philosophy major with 3 years of experience in HSMUN. When he’s not at school or volunteering at the food bank Victor enjoys being the life of the party, making sure his friends are always entertained. He also is an avid music snob, with a large collection of both vinyls and cd’s in a variety of genres. He is looking forward to helping out FSC delegates and ensuring this year's conference is its best yet.

    DIPLOMATIC AIDE

    Sulaman is currently in his first year as an Honours Biochemistry student. He has two years of experience with HSMUN as a delegate, and he is very excited to join HSMUN as a volunteer with Arab League this year. When he is not busy studying, Sulaman enjoys cooking and playing piano. He is also always down for some cards or a boardgame.

    Siraj is a second year Psychology major with five years of experience at HSMUN. Three years as a delegate, and his second year as a volunteer. Siraj enjoys watching and playing sports in his free time, and looks forward to the exciting debates in HSMUN 2026.

  • Noah

    DIPLOMATIC AIDE

    Noah is a first year engineering student with two years of HSMUN experience as a delegate excited to volunteer for the first time. When he’s not procrastinating on a few dozen assignments, you’ll find him spending time with his cousins, serving at his Church, or going down a new rabbit hole that will drain 5 hours of his life (usually theology, but he’s a man of many interests). Noah is looking forward to helping make sure Security Council and the conference run as smoothly as possible.

    Julia is in her final year of a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Education, with a minor in Biology. When she’s not studying, Julia loves staying active through outdoor adventures and indulging her sweet tooth by baking treats for family and friends. While this is her first year volunteering with HSMUN, she is eager to meet all the committee members and delegates!
